With a wide background of experience and expertise, I bring a fresh perspective to some of the perennial questions and challenges of public life. I have taught, lectured, written, or consulted in all of these areas and can help you bring fresh vision and focus to your community.
CHURCH AND STATE
As the former lead coordinator for faith engagement for the largest state agency in Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, I bring a unique perspective on both the pitfalls and
the opportunities that faith communities encounter as they
seek to be a transformative force in their context.
CHURCH AND TRAUMA
This part of my work seeks to explore the ways in which trauma and human suffering malform persons and communities, and particularly how Christian communities can serve as places of healing, safety,
and the interruption of these profound and even generational wounds. This work is particularly valuable for church leaders and those who
have been the victims of profound trauma and suffering.
CHURCH AND FORMATION
My experience as a minister, teacher, writer, and academic provides an interdisciplinary perspective in which to train and develop leaders and communities in their embodied life in the world. These areas include leadership development, conflict management, liturgical development, communal discernment, and theological reflection.
